Howto create your own transparent icons for Mac Os X

- Create the image with a Transparent background in Photoshop.
- Save it as a .png file.
- Drag the image's icon to an application called Pic2Icon (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=pic2icon&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official).
- Select the file, hit APPLE+C
- Select the folder you want to change the icon for
- Hit APPLE+I for the information window
- Select the icon on the top left within the information window
- Hit APPLE+V to replace the icon
You're done.
